Purpose of Job
The Distribution and Logistics Manager is responsible for the oversight of the daily functions of warehousing, logistics, and packaging development within NSNA supply chain. This position oversees the day to day links between nodes of the supply chain (Suppliers, inter-NSNA, and customers). As a result, the Distribution and Logistics Manager drives efficiencies within the supply chain with relation to logistics sourcing and monitoring, rate negotiation, warehouse optimization, packaging, etc.
Major Duties/Responsibilities

Owner of warehousing, logistics and packaging experience and optimization within NSNA's supply chain, including but not limited to rate negotiation, vendor performance, costing etc.
Oversight of logistics vendor issues, coordination of expediting needs of NSNA plants, and new route set-up/development within the NSNA supply chain.
Oversight of packaging development, testing, and approvals (inter-NSNA and external) amongst the NSNA supply chain.
Owner of creating Distribution and Logistics costing targets as requested from Business Development, Costing/Forecasting, and Finance teams.
Manage and report warehousing, logistics & distribution KPI's, such as Logistics Spend, On Time Delivery, Load Efficiency, Expedite Costs, etc., against targets in monthly departmental meetings, or upon request.
Establish corrective actions for underperforming metrics to ensure performance standards are met.
Review and approval of warehousing, logistics, and packaging invoices while overseeing invoice coding for relevant vendors.
Responsible for the day to day activities of local warehousing functions, and external warehousing suppliers including conducting physical inventory counts.
Team Management/Leading Others:
Provide supervision, guidance, leadership, and training to members within your team.
Monitor and evaluate the performance.
Train team members on policies and procedures and create and maintain a set of current forms and approval procedures.
Establish goals for team and conduct reviews.
Participate in recruitment activities and hiring of qualified department resources.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
3 or more year's related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Packaging Engineering background, a plus
APICS certification(s), a plus.
Related Experience
Experience demostrating effective leadership, directly or in-directly, for multi- disciplinary teams is required.
Work requires at least 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated vendor management experience in warehousing and transportation across inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
Work requires strong oral and written communication skills
Work requires strong knowledge level of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Work requires working knowledge and experience with ERP and WMS systems.
Work requires knowledge of current SCM techniques and processes.

Additional Information
Work Hours Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5pm. Off-hours as needed.
Travel Requirements
10% to 15% international and/or domestic.
If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers' license is required.
If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
